Runtime Error: Missing "patchsrv.dat"

Everytime I try to run patch.exe it gives me that error, anyone know why or how I can fix it? Any help would be much appreciated. I am running Windows XP Pro if that helps.

As can be seen if you look through the history. I have the same problem. I have been looking attentively at these boards, trying not to whinge. I use win XP home, some who get this use win 98, so it aint really a platform problem as far as i can see.

I just wanna know what type of EQ do u have?
is it the planes of power pack? If it is i am really leaning towards that as the problem, i have it and at least one other person has it with this problem.

I'm not sure. I'm running WinXP Home with all expansions and the patcher gives me no problems at all.
