Character deleted ?? wtf?

Well i was playing as usual and then i zoned.
The game crashed.
When i came back, my main character was GONE !!!! :(
My wiz was not in the list anymore, like if someone has deleted it !

Help ! how do you resolve this ? :(

This could be one of many things, a database crash, a systme crash before the DB could save, etc. You're probably going to have to start over, try and contact a GM on your server for reimbursement to your old status. If this is however your server, run EQAdmin and check if he's listed under the characters tab. He may have been set to a wrong accountid or soemthing along those lines.

Careful with this one. This is a reproducable way that I've been able to delete characters.

Looking through the various tabs available on the character screen (stats, stats2, etc), in the EQadmin has corrupted every character that I've ever used the EQadmin tool to look at.

It only happens if I start looking at the other tabs for that character. Just popping onto the character tab itself and looking at the character's first page hasn't done it. But upon clicking one of the other tabs to see more of that character's stats and/or inventory.... and poof, he's gone.

So be very careful when you're on the character tab. Careful not to get curious and start clicking the other pages to see the rest of the data for that character. While it's possible it might not happen to you (maybe test it with a dummy character you don't care about), it has happened to me every single time.
