Patcher wont start

Ive played eqemu for about a month now and all of the sudden, the patcher wont start. It brings up this little box saying starting patcher but it sits there for a second then says operation failed and closes itself. I came here to try to maybe re-download the stuff but cant remember what i got or where to get it. Any help would be much appreciated may it be where/what to get or how i can fix my little problem. Thankies =)

Hello, do to problems beyond supports control, I don't think that you will be able to patch for a bit.

Their was an issue with their web hosting. The patcher is still availble from sorce forge just do a search on eqemu and all the files will come up. But I don't think the patcher is going to work I experienced the same issue, I beleive the patcher connected to Eqemu some how and that connection is/was not availble yesterday I don't know about today or when in the future it will be back.

And I don't know whats up with all the nasty posts on here either. Your best bet is to give it some time check back with in the next couple of days to see how things have come along, and if this is back up and running or not.

:( I have the exact same problem. Does anyone have any idea when the server will be back up? I wasn't even able to get on the website yesteray.

same thing for me it tells me that patcher cannot connect to the server...is the server down or is the problem on my end it was working just fine tuesday night and I haven't done anything different.....

I have the same issue.

I've been looking around and havn't seen any ETA or a response to this yet.

I would imagin they are working on getting this function back up and running. Most likley have allot of things to tend to after what ever the problems where yesterday with Comcast.

Try to stick to the posts on this issue, if people flood the bbs with the same post in different places, and their already overwhelmed with issues just trying to keep this up and going.
Then their just going to get pissed and start kicking and banning ip's.

Give it a day or so it should be back soon.

Yeah ok I just joined...

I never have been able to log in (because i got this just today.) Is my problem below due to the server being down, just want to make sure my files and such are in the right place. After installing EQEmu to the EQ directory i ran patch.exe. The first time i got "Could not connect to server." Now when ever i try i get a RUn-time error '70', permision denied. Is this due to me not having everything set up or the problem EQEmu is having ATM. Also when/where can i get the mdac update which the howtos can be found at http://www.eqemu.net/patcher/mdac_typ.exe which is down. PLease reply back with help!

LoL Thats Pretty Funny... Not Really... I Just spent 3 hours to get this whole thing set up... Downloading everything I needed since i Have 56k the downloads took a bit. But Anyways I havent even gotten to try the emu out so all Im waiting for is the patch to come back up so I can play :lol: Right now Im learning about making servers. But before I do anything with making a server.. I need to play a few :D .... But I cant play until this patcher is up... lol ok ill shut up.. Well ill be sitting here waiting for the pacther to come back up
