Maybe someone has some advice.
I've managed to get a succesful EQMu server up but when I follow the instructions for the LAN setup I cant seem to get it working. The problem is I get the normal login screen with all the other EQEMu servers on it.
What I've done:
Downloaded EQEMu and ran a succesful server.
Downloaded minilogin.exe because the current version doesnt have it.
Had a compatability issue between EQEMu and minilogin.exe (different version messages)
downloaded and configured the matching version of EQEMu
made eqhost.txt a read only file because I found out that it kept getting re-written for the EQEMu login server.
now I'm getting a patch message at the login screen.
I'm sure theres something I'm missing, just can't seem to find it. I checked the threads and that's how I got as far as I did. Lot's of helpful info out there.
Anyway, Im running XP Home edition on a LAN using NAT and no firewall on either the router or my PC's. I'm trying to set up the server to run on the same PC I'm playing on. I can use a different one if needed for the server (I have 5 PC's to use).
I'm on a full T-1 also so If I cant get this working I'll try to set up a public server. Just learning the intricacies atm.
Thanks in advance for any help or advice provided.
