Question about zones

Hey im new to EqEmu but nont to EQ, so anyways im playing on Forever Hacking because i just want the best stuff for my warrior so i can solo really hard mobs
1st question - I heard something about a NPC in the arena that u can hail if you get level 20 and he will bring u all the way to 60, is this true and where can he be found in the arena?
2nd question - Is there a way that you can tell what zones are currently running on the server while your playing so u dont accidently go to one that will just boot you off?

Yes, on ForeverHacking once you level to 20 head to the arena. One there you will see a damn big efreeti...waltz right up to him, hit "a" on your keyboard, and wait for the fireworks. Ooops...sorry...was in the wrong frame of mine, hehe...anyways, just stand next to him and hail him and you will become level 60 and your skills will be maxed.

As for zones, if you type in #zonestatus it will tell you what zones are up and how many zones are available. If there is a zone that is available, that means that you can boot that zone by zoning into it. Just because a zone is not listed does not mean that you can't go to it, it just means no one is in that zone currently. When you go to a zone that hasn't been booted yet you might get dropped to char select, but just go back in and you will be in that zone. Also, if you try to log on and it says Zone is not available, just wait a few secs and try again...that gives it time for the server to start up that zone and you should be able to enter the game.
