Alright. I have two computers (Desktop and Laptop) running on a network, and a third computer (Seizure-box) running every now and then when it's fucked up little wireless box decides it's not gonna have the epilepsy.

I am able to run an EQEMU server on Desktop. I can log in from Desktop and/or Laptop. However, my world address at the time was an internal network address, so my friend from an outside computer (DirtyFrenchMan) cannot connect. I set the LoginServer to listen on my IP address, which doesn't seem to be working out for Desktop, DirtyFrenchMan, or Laptop. I cannot get a server running that is accessible outside the network.

(Essentially that breaks down to: I changed 192.168.*.* to my IP address and fit hit the shan)

Any help?

DirtyFrenchMan is running Windows 98.
Dekstop is running Windows XP.
Laptop is running Windows XP.

Your world address needs to be a public address which you can get from http://www.whatismyip.com.

However, if you are using a NAT'ed connection you are going to do some portforwarding from 5999, 7995-7999 from the outside to the server box at a minimum.

IP address... check.
Port forwarding... check.
World.exe launch... check.
Zone crashing... check.
Game con-

Wait. What the crap? Damn it!

Yeah. So. I tried all that stuff. I tried forwarding every port from 7000 to 8000 along with 9000 and 5999 to the server box. Then I changed everything in the files to the way the readme says and... world.exe seemed to load fine, and said it was listening on the appropriate ports... and then... zoneservers go BOOM!

=\ Anybodah?

I can get the server up so that I can connect from Laptop and Desktop, and I can see it on the EQEMU login servers. However, nobody else can log in with those settings. =\
