Hello, I recently downloaded EQEmu Patcher 1.0.1 from www.eqemu.net. After I downloaded it and used the patch it worked fine, I could log into servers, make a character, play, etc.
I accidently ran Everquest.exe from my EQEmu directory and when I tried to play after about 30 minutes, while in Sleeper's Tomb, my internet connection had an auto-disconnect after 6 hours. So I tried to log back in and it crashed when I would attempt to log back into the character. I thought that was odd so I attempted to make a new character, and when it was approving the name it crashed. Eversince it has not stopped doing this, and I have tried reinstalling EQEmu, making a new directory for it, everything.
People tell me that when Sony uploads a patch to their hosted servers EQEmu has to match the patch with their servers, it sounds reasonable, except whenever I log into EQEmu I can see that other people are playing by the population number, but I can't play.
Do I have to wait until another EQEmu version is released? Is there a way to fix it? Is playing on EQEmu doomed forever? Please reply back, any help is much appreciated. Thanks.
