items database from scratch

How does one create an items database from scratch?

I've browsed the forums, and haven't found anything that would lead me to this, or at least nothing that I've understood :)

That is VERY ambitious, especially since there is still portions of the item format that are still unknown. But the easiest way would be to start with an empty items table, and use kaiyodo's item editor. keep your item numbers between 1001 and 32000

I highly sugest you use existing items with atributes similar to what you want as template items though.
