where do you actually enter commands?

Ok, I got everything up and running using minilog in..no probllems..except...well the world is empty..
but mainly I would like to know where exactly do you enter commands ?

You use the chat system, press ENTER in-game and type the command in the bar at the bottom of the screen (type #help for a list of commands)
