help cuz im an idiot

ok so i run the patcher like directed...change eqhost.txt
goto run eqgame.exe it tells me to run everquest.exe, now I read the warning @ the top of the turtoral page. so i dont run everquest.exe till i check them out. couple different posts say it sould work. so i do. while downloading the files it overwrites eqhost.txt to the original & i cant get it to not do that. so am i fucked? :evil:

*sigh* EQEmu patcher goes in your eq folder, fully patch using EVERQUEST.EXE, hit cancel instead of play once its done patching, then run the eqemu patcher, which should be installed in your eq folder... as for starting it after thats all done, "C:\Program Files\Sony\EverQuest Trilogy\eqgame.exe" patchme
is what your shortcuts target should look like. (Change anything nessecary... Seeing as how Im using the trilogy and didnt buy the game piece by piece heh)
