Nother case of 1017

I know this is getting old... But im having this dreaded 1017 bug and its annoying.

I've read most of the posts about this bug, but none of the solution seems to be working for me.

Here are a run down of my system:

So heres the deal - I have a local netword at home, 2 comps running winxp. Using a linksys router. On one comp, Im trying to host a server, and play on the other comp. So I downloaded all the necessary stuff, MySql, Eqemu, etc etc, had some troubles, but always could figure them all... Now I tought I was done, when I try to log on my server, i get booted from desktop and get 1017.

I read about IP fowarding, I think I setted my router right...

Heres my router fowarding set-up screen :

Ext. Port = 9000 to 9000 Protocol = TCP (checked) UDP (unchecked) IP Adress = 192.168.1.3 (double checked that one) Enabled (checked).

Ext Port = 7995 to 7999 Protocol = TCP (checked) UDP (unchecked) IP Adress = 192.168.1.3 Enabled (checked).

(those who are familiar with the linksys setup screen know what im talking about hehe... dunno if its clear to others)

Ive also downloaded all the lastest patches from both EQlive AND eqemu, on both comp. I made sure all kinda firewalls were off (including WinXP's one).

Still not letting me get on my server. Ive been trying to change configs for about 4 hours now, but no luck. I just cant put the finger on whats wrong.

As I know myself, im pretty sure its something really stupid.

Any sugestion?

After running eqemu patcher, did you get any problems, missing files, or anything like that?

i have the same problem. :evil:
look like server is catching my internal ip and boot me out.
i have been playing with host file (WINNT\drivers\etc) and still 1017 error....
i thought my local network was wrong but i never had problem till now so.
i really have no clue about it i suck with network.

i tried so many thing to get the problem resolved but nothing worked.

I have a friend who has some good knowledge with network and will come at home tomorow :) hope he will resolve it.
I will tell you if something come up. :)
if nothing work i will install a linux server maybe it will work better at list mysql will be faster :).

I found a way to get rid of it, i am using a dial up account connection hehe till my problem will be resolved.

NM, browser was bugged, you listed everything. I just got the 1017 error after toying with a few things. Now I need to retrace my steps :).

It works under EthernalQuest and EqEmu of eqemu.net,but not under EqEmu of LocalHost.
I do not know what is wrong

Has anyone solved this problem? I am running it all on 1 computer. When I try to log into my server I get this error.
