EQemu Patcher

Hello,

When i try to run the EQemu patcher it says it cannot connect to the server. If i try to get on any server it comes up with the error message i need to re-run patcher.

How do i get the files?

I have read the other posts with the same problem, 1017 error but they all get fixed with the eqemu patcher. My patcher keeps saying cannot connect to the patch server :(

I cant get to everquest eqemu because all the time i try to start up the eqwindow it goes to full screen and freezez out . =(

Error 1017 is because you didnt patch your EQ folder ready for EqEmu servers.
The last patch Veran made arent working on EqEmu servers.
This is due to incompatibities files.
But some servers might be not well configured cuz of LAN problems, their name will appear on EqEmu servers list but you will be booted cuz their World.exe's ini files doesnt have the right adress IP to connect.

If you can't log on ALL servers that mean you didnt patch your EQ folder with Eqpatcher (http://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/eqemu/EQEmuPatcher.exe?use_mirror=easynews).
If you can't log only "some" servers, just choose another server.

If you run version 2.35x it wont work on eqemu servers
You need to find version 2.3 :)

Yes I have gathered all that from the other posts i have ready.

I cant run the EqEmu patcher. An error message comes up saying cannot connect to the patch server.

I made a separate EQ folder, patched it with EQ live, installed EQemu patched IN that directory, tryed to start EqEmu patcher and i get the error.

I dont see what im doing wrong.....

It's your ISP. If you have a modem, grab an AOL frisbee, get your free 1000000 hours, download the patch, unregister, uninstall. You should be able to patch using AOL.

I don't know why some ISPs suck.

:( ok thanks for the help. Gonna have to try set that up. Would it not be easier to just alter the patcher so that all ISP can use it?

Is there not a site i could get the files using FTP? and yes i saw the post by Hardy about the rules, but they seem naff.....

It's not broken - your ISP doesn't want to cooperate. You HAVE to use patcher. You can't download from an FTP.
