If they make EverQuest II, why the hell would i still want to play regular EverQuest? What, for some stupid hidden items OH SHIT!!! THE HIDDEN ITEMS!!! JESUS I HAVE TO PLAY BOTH YAY!!! (NOT) I mean christ, they should like knock off the price or something to about half for both, you know, something that matters. I think SOE needs to stop trying these pathetic ways to make them look like they care about their customers, because they don't.

I think they reached market saturation after the first EQ and need to justify making a second one when the first one had all the suckers they needed. Now they need more revenue to pay their expenses. I figure they'll chop the prices a bit once they recouperate costs, but they'll still make a sweet profit either way. I'll wait until the price cut on regular EQ to even think of EQ2.
That's when you know the bugs are fixed.

all these idiots think EQ2 is just an expansion with uber graphics...god you people are f-ing retards. EQ2 is an ENTIRE DIFFERENT GAME, it takes place CENTURIES IN THE FUTURE, ONLY 3 CONTINENTS, Odus, Antonica, and Faydwer, Iksar live on Faydwer, Kerran replace Vah Shir since there is no Luclin, no frogloks (from what I understand) TOTALLY NEW WAY OF LEVELING, no just exp drudging like EQ1 is. There wont be and set LEVELS in this game! A totally new non-combat merchant class! Trade Skills will produce the BEST items in the game. Totally new dungeons and areas. The 3 continents there are will be twice as big as all of EQ1 is now combined. So shut your f-ing mouth before you go off and say "Why play eq2 i got eq1 its same!!!!L!O!L!@@!"
thank you and hope your teeth rot out

oh some more on the leveling. It will be in a sense like SWG leveling where it will be Job Trees. You pick a BASIC class like: Shaman, Wizard, Cleric, Druid, Fighter, Ranger, Necromancer
then it branches off from there into such like Alchemist, mage, enchanter(illusionist), knight, shadowknight, and a cast array of different classes. depending on which branch you take with your base

BK...
No flames.. If you don't agree with someone's opinion, you can disagree without making personal attacks... Everyone keep your opinions polite or keep your opinions off the boards. This is an all ages group, and we dont need people flinging insults around...

Okay, there is one thing I don't understand. Why the hell so many people are flaming EQ2. OH NO!!! I can't move my character over. You know what big deal.
I think this is the smart move.
1) What is the point of moving over a character that I never play anymore because a. I am bored with it and B.) he is already maxed out.
2) If you understood the concept behind EQ2 you would understand that becasue of the way EQ2 has been designed it is not possible to move your character over because of both the skill system and character advancement.
3) It gives everyone the chance to start at the same pace and give a fresh new experience to the game.
I personaly was not all that pleased myself but you know what? I have made and deleted alt character's tons of times. I also slap myself because I always say to my self, gee if I would have put 10 more points into this skill my char would be so much better.
SO before all of you flame look at it this way. DO I REALLY HAVE TO PLAY EQ2. No you don't. And you are probably right about sony not caring hell I wouldn't. Those who don't like it simply won't play the new one. Those that do will. And the majority of the people that do start playing will probably be people that have not played the first one.
I personally can't wait to see some new faces on the new game, instead of all the people on EQ now who have 100 different alts.

Yeah but no one should get an advantage for continuing to stay subscribed to EQ1, they might as well just sell items for godsakes.
