THIS IS ALSO THE README, READ BEFORE DOWNLOADING
Yep, this is my first mod, and its fairly small also, here is the details:
-Items are not as rare (but still sorta rare)
-Resist penalty when you raise a difficulty is toned down by half
-No longer an exp penalty when you die
-Gem stats have been increased
-Merc's deal a little more damage than normal
-Skill requirements taken off skills (you can practice WW right when you hit level 30, no need to practice previous skills)
-Increased the Inventory, Bank and Cube size (credit goes to The Phrozen Keep (http://d2mods.xfernet.com))
-Increased Magic, Unique and Set item stats (Rare items are same)
-Increased Monsters Hit Points 10 times
-Increased Monster Armor Class 3 times
-Increased Monster Experience 3 times
That is all I have done so far, took me a while (learned along the way how to mod). I have done testing, but only the first part of Act I, so this is just a beta version, big time beta. It is a little tougher than normal :D If you find something I should change, or a bug, PLEASE let me know, thanks!!
Downloading and Installing
1. Download the Mod (copy/paste the link, otherwise you get 404) galileo.spaceports.com/~eqspace/hardys_mod.zip
2. Use winzip (www.winzip.com) to extract the files.
3. Extract them to your Diablo 2 Directory. It will make the folders for you. If it asks to overwrite some files, thats not good, DO NOT OVERWRITE. Instead, make a new folder in your D2 directory, and extract them into there.
4. Create a shortcut of your D2 game to the desktop. (Yes, even if you have it on there, make another one, you can play both the mod and regular D2 anytime)
5. Right click the shortcut you just made, and click "Properties".
6. Where it says "Target", type this:
"C:\Program Files\Diablo II\Diablo II.exe" -direct -txt
With the quotes. If your directory is differant, then change it.
7. Where it says "Start In", type this:
"C:\Program Files\Diablo II\"
If you changed the directory due to overwriting, then use that directory, and yes, use quotes.
8. Click "OK", you are all set! Run the game through the shortcut you just edited, and it should start my mod.
If you can still kill monsters in the field in 1 hit, you did something wrong or you are cheating  If you have problems, please post them here. Also leave feedback below, thanks! Hope you like it!
*edit* I had a mistake in my installation instructions, if you had troubles, read #7 again :)
