IP identifies your computer on the net. You can find out your IP by login into your router, or there's a program at no-ip.com that'll do it for ya.

Since i cannot get EQW to run on this PC or get anyone to help fix it... is there any way to enter the emulator without using EQW? such as the dos eqgame.exe patcme which i tried but it took me to normal eq( so if anyone knows how i can execute this thing please tell me ive gotten everything done in the readme except actually playing the game.

When i try to enter using dos mode eqgame.exe patchme i get the 1002 error : something about rerunning patch and not having the updated version, any ideas?

make sure you are using port 5997 in eqhost.txt

goto start, run and enter "command" without thw quotes. this should bring up a dos promt.. goto your EQ dir (if it is C:\program files\everquest) type

cd C:\PROGRA~1\EVERQU~1

and hit enter.

then type "eqgame.exe patchme" without the quotes.

you didnt extract the entire eqw.zip into your EQ folder. re-extract it and try again.

if your on win98 or winME type winipcfg at the run menu, if your on 2000 or XP goto start, run, type CMD and at the command promp type ipconfig

I've combined all your posts into one thread Pumblechookia. In the future, only post in one thread at a time so you can actually read the responses.
