can anyone help me get this to run through a proxy. I have to run a proxy due to the fact that a router does not work with my satelite modem (starband) system. I would greatly appreciate it if someone came out with a fix for this.

Not sure what you are asking. The ports you should open are 9000 - 9005. The problem I have is that I can have people on the outside get to it but when I am on the inside it is a no go through gotfrags. If I could run my own login then maybe but I doubt that will happen.

well if you don't know, a proxy is a nework program that supplies a connection to other computer on your network through a program. It runs each of the ports necessary. But the applications have to be configured to run this way. EQEmu does not have this ability. On the Everquest site it has some settings to connection through the proxy but EQEmu does not run the same settings.

Okay I will take that as a you where just trying to help me understand. Let me tell you. I have a cable modem connection connected to a linux box which then proxies out all of the connections to the rest of my boxes. I can run EQEMU just fine through my firewall and also EQLive. So what exactly is your problem. What is it that you are trying to do?

Well, im just trying to get it to connect. I am running windows me, on all the computers. My proxy does not send out the connections like that. I would run a linux os, but I do not believe the software for my satelite modem works. Since my satelite modem runs on USB and i have not seen drivers or anything on setting it up for linux.
