OK i downloaded EQ Emu and i copied my whole EQ directory, from there i unzipped my EQ Emu into my copy, and did everything the readme said to do for the installation. Then i started it up, and for some reason i cant get my EQW to work. All if does is just copy the active window, or part of it for that matter, and then when i hit enter or anything it gets rid of EQW and i cant get it. Just wondering if anyone can help.

Is your desktop set to 32bit color?

thanks for your help earlier shawn, now a new question. with gotfrags down, eq no works. but there is that other server suggested for temporary use, well how do i create a user name for that server so i can play?

No its not set at 32bit should it be?

ok i fixed it but i had a couple of new problems arise.

1. When i follow the readme and run my world.exe, nstead of getting Connected to LoginServer: eqlogin.gotfrags.com:5999 which should be replaced with the new temp server i get : NEW TCP Connection.

2. When i try to log into EQW, and i get teere it keeps telling me about i have bad password. Is this b/c the servers are down or something?

3. What is this other source file that everyone says has all of the spawns and stuff, and where could i find it?

1a. EQW needs everything to be in 16 bit color to work.

1b. best bet is to hold off connecting untill todays patch is over and 0.2.6 is out (will work with latest patch).. Gotfrags should otherwise be up now and running on port 5999.

2. same as above.

3. check dev forum for drawdes post about worlddata 0.6.
