There is a lack of good quality kids games. If you have kids and only 1 computer, than you are forever changing your display from 640X480 256 colors back to 1024X768 32bit to switch from our kids lame games to EQ, Unreal tournament or what have you.

I have 3 daughters (2,5,9). What I love about EQemu is my 5 and 9 year olds can make a lvl 65 woodelf, summon Raex and safely explore Greater and lesser Faydark without being scared to death or attacked by Zombies. Now if they could play hide n seek, tag or capture the flag rather than feeling the need to kill Faeries and Brownies I would be happy.

I work for a production company that is developing a game in conjuntion with a kids television series. The series lends itself nicely to a massive multiplayer world. The Executive producer wants to partner up with a company that has a track record in this field but I can think of non other than Disney Imagineering or Verant/Sony. Disney's Toontown is Flash based and graphically challenged and Verants develepment isn't exactly designed with 6-9 year olds in mind.

Anyway I want to make a MMRPG for kids that puts an emphasis on Character creation and update (fashion and morphing) games within the game, quests and a cooperative non violent combat system. I know it sounds like Toontown, but I want Everquest graphics. One thing about Toontown that I am impressed with is the menu driven chat system. Nobody wants their kids being able to tell Sir Chunky Super Stink where they live.

I could work with an existing game development company or put together a virtual company of like minded individuals. So if any programmers and artists, with or without kids, want to; help me out, send me in the right direction or simply flame me, please drop a line or post a reply.
