Windows 2000 is giving me hell. I try to run World.exe and the bootzone exe's, and the such like that, and what happens is that MS-DOS pops up for a second then just closes. Therefore, I can't keep my server open. The only .exe that works is minilogin, sadly.
Anyone got an idea of what's wrong?

try running them from a command prompt to see what error they are spitting out.

On world - I quote -
"Loginserver.ini read.
Incomplete DB.ini file.
Read README.txt!"
For boot5zones.exe -
Nothing. About 2 windows open up and click off.
For zoneNT.exe -
"Incomplete DB.ini file.
Read README.txt!"
For zone9x.exe-
Same thing as NT. So, any idea what's wrong? my db.ini file is -completely filled out-.

# READ README.TXT!
[Database]
localhost=68.58.19.112
user=*******
password=************
database=eq
There you have it. This is the db.ini from \EQEMU\, mind you.

looks right to me. Try changing the db ip to 127.0.0.1 (assuming your running your db on the same machine)

Nope. Still the same deal.

Oh carp, the server is up and running on gotfrags, but I can't get into character select =( I get the "re-run the update patch" error. Damn, is it because I patched live? This means I'm screwed, right?

Any idea when EQEMU is gonna release a new version to tell this patch to 'fuck off'? :P

dunno when release will be but 0.2.6 is in testing now and works with yesterdays patch. you can play on it and test on Lyenu's Playground server, or hogiebane/Hogie's Test Server.
btw it says host=localhost in the readme so i dont blame it for saying "Incomplete DB.ini file. Read README.txt!" :)
