It's long and drawn out. It involves using a compiler. The walkthrough would likely give me a headache if you have never compiled something before.

I learned in linux off a website over a year ago. In linux, it's a lot easier. But I don't want to explain the commands of linux if you can't already use it. Linux is a can of worms I refuse to open... Most users know what they're doing, and I stay out of their ways.
Requirements to doing this in Windows:
Knowledge of cvs
Knowledge of compiler use
A cvs file downloader
A compiler
Most windows computers come with neither a cvs downloader nor a compiler for C++. You must download and use these tools in Windows. Support for both tools are sparse at times. My slackware linux came with both tools and simple, but exact, help files. eqemu can be made useful to me in 3 commands. In Windows, there's a lot of clicking and moving about that is complex to explain, but easy enough to do. It's just the opposite in linux.
Someone said that they would host weekly dumps of the CVS compiles, which would mean that you could have access to REAL files that you already know how to make use of (assuming a .zip file). When that person configures this, you can fix the item problem.
