Hey all, I've been a silent observer for the last couple of weeks, and run a local lan eqemu server at the flat for the boys and a few mates outside to connect to.
First up, great work, hats off to all of you Devs and community alike.

I played eq from Beta, and stopped a bit after PoP release. I played a Ranger and Cleric both to 65 on the Bertoxx Server (2 boxing)

To me it seemed EQ was becomming easier, being made to appeal to a wider mass-market audience, and fair enough, that brings in the $$$.

I look back on my EQ days favourably, it had, without a doubt occupied my time longer than any other game I've played.

What got me back into EQ wasnt the following Yakesha Expansion, or promise of "NEW worlds" to come, rather stumbling across this site, and downloading the eqemu software. To me it was kind of taking "EQ" to another level, suddenly I had the tools to fix things I thought were wrong, replay over old ground, and start expanding using the existing EQ content.

Now thanks to you guys I'm back to a few sleepless nights a week infront of the PC, but looking at EQ through a different set of blurry eyes.

Anyway, just a /wave and gidday to you all. Keep up the great work.

Hey, just stumbled across this site, actually got a link to it from the WoW forums.. I'm really impressed, I quit EQ years ago (right after Kunark) simply because a lot of my friends left, still loved the game, but it lost a lot of its' interest when all my mates left..

Got a lot of friends who'd be more than willing to play if it's free and looks like this is an incredible thing ya've got going on here.. hats off :)
