I read the front page, don't really understand if it works now. Someone told me it would be a month or so until it works if I have patched EQ in the last 7 Months i think it was? So does EQEmu actually work now?

Eqemu works. 0.5.0 works. It just doesn't work well right now. I'm not sure which patch date you need.
