Ok here goes.
I have 1 EQEmu Directory with eq blah blah blah.
It's version is the most up to date with live EQ servers.
I run EQW 2.35a
Everything goes well, but after server select i get booted saying 1017. So i did some research around the other posts of people having a similar problem. noticed it's some firewall thingy, i disabled my firewall and even enabled DMZ on my router. no luck yet.
So , Next i downloaded eqfix.zip, since it's an older version , i had to roll back my EQW to 2.32
Had the Planes of Power Background instead of froggy, so i used 5999 port as login, select server , click GO , and WOW it works ! i can create my character and stuff but however it seems that when i click ENTER world i get booted to desktop ! =(
This problem reminds me of the old days whereby if your version of the game isnt the same as the servers , it just crashes.
(I've also read http://forums.eqemu.net/viewtopic.php?p=46298 , deleted my UI files , only default is left , still crashes)
So there we go, 2 Different versions , 2 different problems.
