DEAR GOD HELP ME!!!

ok, here's the issue. i recently got EQEmu and i did all the needed steps to run it. after spending a day racking my brain on wy i couldnt log into the game at al i seen the new routing number change....YEAY! unlocked one steel door.....WHAM! another crashes shut. now im able to get to the server select screen....but thats it...when i try and join a server i get the 1017....could not connect to world server, lost connection with patcher please rerun the patcher. blah blah blah...i dun think its the patcher thats causing this, i think it lies in a connection module of some sort...im behind a cable router, but as a joining client that shouldnt matter none...but im in need of help. i have run out of Asprin and can no longer rack my brain on this, if anyone out there has ANY info PLEASE post it. PA LEEZ post it. :?

If neither of them work for you, then i would suggest going into the IRC channel and see if you can get some answers from there.

I hope this helps, after all we must try and help the developers from pulling out even more hair :D

If you just installed everything and patched up to the live version, you will only be able to connect to the .5 servers that are on the server list. The newest server version is still being worked on so there hasn't been many new servers to play on. Most of the servers will be .4 version servers.

i figued out my problem...i hadnt changed my datadrate.txt file over to 8.0; and now i only can log into 5.0 servers....man i hope more servers change over soon, currently there are like 5 servers runnin 5.0 but most are devs and the rest are locked....DOH!
