i got a nvidia ti4600 a while ago. whenever i play games like morrowwind, neverwinter, or run 3dmark, my computer crashes and restarts, on win98, 2k, and xp. i always get a blue screen of death before it restarts saying something along the lines of "physical memory dump". im pretty sure its an overheating issue. to get to my point, right now i got to medium fans running directly across the edge of it, the generic fan/heatsink combo on the bottom, and a small fan sitting directly on the top over the CPU part. so when it overheats with 4 fans and a heatsink on it, i start to wonder if this is a common problem. i was just wondering if anyone else has had this problem and what they've done to combat it. i am currently looking at a heatpipe vga cooler, but i dont know if i could even install it because my heatsink i have now it glued onto the cpu. damn waste of $170. what good is a powerful GFX card if it constantly overheats?

I've been using this video card for a while now (2 years?) with no problems. I've also played a fair share of Morrowind and Neverwinter on it :)

Does your video card have its own fan? Is it functioning properly?

Also, are you sure it is the video card? Try to isolate the problem, which can be hard if it's hard to reproduce.

i Had one of those cards in my duel AMD computer befor i sold it. and had no problems. I use a Geforce 3 ti 500 and it is almost as good at as Geforce 4 ti but slower. anyway if your computer just restart out of the blue it means your CPU is overheating get a better fan then what you got, and if you get the blue screen of death becuase of Memory it is 1 of 2 things if you use DDR then it is becuase it is overheating, or it has gone bad and you need to get some more RAM or maybe you have a bad Motherboard

Fast CPU and Video card have there own fan on them but need good air flow or it dosent work right. i have an overheat problem with my 1.47 AMD 1700+ computer, i fixed this by installing a 600W Power supply and 8 80mm case Fans (2 in the back blowing hot air out, 4 in the front, 2 on the door.

And yes i know my typing skills suck, it what when you type to fast, and play Games like unreal, and quake, and half life, battle field. etc ...
I have almost 180 WPM but wiht like 60 errors lol
