I know I dont post alot, but I still read....I've heard of HQ but never tried it since I was told to try out EQEmu first. I must admit that I'm impressed by what I've seen and I have to say you guys have done a great job.

As for the animosity, there'll always be that between 2 companies who run the same product, but I see no reason we can't all get along :wink:

HQ and EQEmu do get along and have nothing but respect for each other in what they have done

but the HQ emu is coded in ruby , EQEmu is coded in c++ ....to my knowledge there still only 1 guy(Zordon) codin the HQemu becuz rudy is a hard language to code , thats the reason they suggest ppl ask any questions they have over there

Last night I downloaded the source to EthernalQuest, and it was entirely c++.

Ruby is an OO scripting language, alot like python... never really worked in it myself...

Zordon posted that as of the new release , any new features added would be through .dll modules , so the c++ coders can just write individual feature modules that can be added very easily now.
