display problem...

anyone else not able to see the dragons and golems in sleepers tomb? i talked with ariak yesterday and out of 9 people that visited his spawned zone, all the dragons and golems showed up.. i set my eqclient.ini to his and it still did not work. i had a feeling it might have to do with my video card but I was able to see the prismatic dragon before as well as the other dragon models. maybe he just has a more recent version of the database and it was fixed in that version.. im using his 1.0 release

u mean sometimes thay dont show up or parts of them are missing untill u move around? thats a 3D card problem.. try getting new drivers or tweaking the settings. try mipmap on/off

no, although i have had a problem where it was mixmatched dragon parts... every mob that spawns in sleepers shows up as either a troll or human not the dragon and golem skins... remember when the first guild in live eq went to kill sleeper and he was a human, im having that problem now.

The sleepers human for me too, I just think thats a texture issue with the data in Ariaks database, not something wrong with your video card.


Though new video card drivers and reinstalling DX8 wouldnt hurt..

/sigh tried 4 different drivers and reinstalled directx, nothing working, still show humans ;(... anyone know of a good voodoo3 2000 driver for win95?

If your seeing humans, I would bet it is something to do with your EQ setup. I remember some people didn't see Velious dragons for quite some time (optional patch or something) try a thourough file check, and make sure you have all the options checked under advanced.

/sigh i remember that now too... only when i got the option patches.. it no longer lets me get from server select to char select.. connection problem, even after 10 attempts.. why doesnt verant just give up ;\
