Hey, uhh, i have a slight problem thats really starting to tick me off. Everytime I zone I go LD to server screen and most of the times I try to get onto my chars I also go LD to server screen. Can anyone help me? Is it just my computer/connection? Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks

Be sure to use the #zonestatus command prior to zoning. On most servers not all zones are running, and this is what happens when you try to zone in to a zone that isn't loaded. If your char is stuck, you can login on a new char and ask a GM to move that char out. Generally the server GM's won't have a problem doing so unless they're extrememly busy.

Yes, but even if you do #zonestatus, the zone can still crash do to errors in the EMu and MySQL. Like if there are grid problems in the zone, you will go LD alot, if you even get into the zone.

#datarate 8.0 ...when I used 5.0 I went LD everytime, but so far havent went LD once with 8.0, only bad thing is you have to do it everytime to log onto a server...can try it atleast heh

Or, you can just go to your DataRate.txt file in EQ folder and edit it to 8.0. Lot easier than doing it each time you get on IMO.
