Replacing old db with new db..need help

I downloaded Drawdes new dbase and wanted to use it while I am using minilogin.

I removed my old mysql dbase I started when I first setup EMU. I copied Drawdes db.sql into my folder then re-ran mysql and rebuilt the dbase using this new file.

Problem is when I login I still seem to be using the old dbase. I assume Drawdes dbase is more complete then the one packed with the original setup files, but I dont seem to have any of the new items or MOBs.

Anyone able to decipher what I might have done wrong?

So your saying you went to your mysql\bin dir and ran mysql. typed drop database old-database-name;
create database new-database-name;
use new-database-name;
source drwades-database-file-name;

And that your db.ini file in your EQEmu dir lists the new-database-name as the database?

Keep in mind that Drwade's database dosen't add items, just spawns, defines shopkeepers and thier inventory, factions an a few other things. He also only did spawns for the original game zones plus Kunark.

Pretty much yes, thats what I did.

I was under the impression his dbase was up too NToV and ST also, inc like items?

If not, do you have a link too a more accurate dbase avaialble?

If thats the case with Drawdes dbase then I did load it correctly just didnt see a change in items so I assumed it wasnt loaded correctly.

Ariak is the one doing spawns and items for the Velious zones.
Though when I eventually buy an up-to-date EQ CD to replace my year-old Kunark one I'll probably try doing some too. I've got some of the location data, from Trumpcard, but can't check it out in-game.

Drawde, do you need just the CD's? Or are you talking you need to validate your account to Velious.

If you just need the CD to extract info, ill send it too you. I got a few. (recovering addict, lol)

If you see a link to geocities, add a space to the end of it and it should work.

Of course Ariak has had problems with bandwith at geocities, if so try back the next day.
