This is not your normal 1017 error. With my server up, i can log into another server, and even one thats locked. But not mine and two others. I get 1017, But not on all servers, and i'm never kicked back to login screen. I stay in Server select screen...

Even though its not supported, i'm even getting the 1017 with minilogin. Side note, i have two different EQ dirs, both current but i keep one untouched untill i check with the other. neither of them work...

PS another unrelated prob with Search. once you place your topic (1017 in this case) and go to your first topic, once you try to go back to your list of results, I get Warning: page expired...

If you can't login to your own server, you may have a NAT problem. The NAT tutorial in the howto section will provide a way to get around that, if that is your problem.

Re: the search page expires - try setting your browser to update page only when necessary and see if that fixes it.

ok i can put the server up, Others can log into it, but i can't. Does that seam like a NAT prob?

ok, the reason i was getting the 1017 errors was..... I inserted my account into my db. i didn't log into my server first and then try to update my status. /sigh only after i deleted my db and resourced it worked.....

Hey Kyle9
here is a quote from that link your giving out.

"ERROR: There are not items in the database, and some maps crash, where can I find a new database that wont crash and has all the items?

SOLUTION: first download t h i s and put it into your mysql/bin folder, then you have to re-install the database, so first uninstall mysql."

Uninstall mysql????? That has to be the idiot guide of the week.
If your going to keep posting at least give out good info instead of the BS you have been telling people.
