to set up your own server you need to install a file called mySQL and it says to copy db.sql to your mySQL/bin folder and run mysql.exe whatever this means i do not under stand it. I probably sound stupid to some of you but could someone explain it to me please.

-Thankyou-

quote from the guide

"To run your own server, you must have a compiler and be somewhat familiar with computers. If you are not computer saavy, it's best not to run your own server - you have to know a fair bit of what you are doing and have the ability to resolve most problems on your own"

if you don't know what MYSQL is you most likly done have a complier program. At this time 5.0 is for Developers.

If you don't understand "run mysql.exe" then perhaps you shouldn't run your own server yet. Setting up so you can connect to someone elses server is easier but still quite hard for some, and I'd reccomend that you try that first.
