I'm new here and have never gotten a chance to try EQEmu. On the main page it says everything is screwed up because of the latest patch. I would like to start running a 5.0 server on my machine...when will it all be fixed?

It already says the release, April 12, 2007 :shock:

The latest EQ Live Patch (Oct 9) has broken the 0.5.0-DR4 EQEMu code. Don't patch! If you already did, you will not be able to play the emulator until we fix it.

If you see a post asking for help with the 1017 error message, it's very likely the person did not read this message. Just point them to the news section!

The official ETA for this fix is April 12, 2007. Hopefully things will go well and we can surprise you with an early release!

:evil: Just be pacient. It isnt nice for people to have to work on a deadline. Not only that but it isnt really nice to ask. There doing this for no charge and to help other people. If it was me working on the patch it would sound like this to your post.
"The new patch will be realeased as soon as we finish it. And will be done when we are done fixing the problems. Wich will be sometime in the future."

It will be done soon, check back every once in awhile, like every 2-3 days, if still no progress wait a week and check back.

AND ----

DO NOT patch anymore, unless you make a backup copy of the Everquest directory.

Oh and best place to check is that first NEWS section, this way you don't have to waste your time sifting through posts. I love that they post it RIGHT smack in your face so I don't have to waste anytime, just load up the home page read the news and continue on with life.

ps. Keep checking back, once they do fix it you'll love it, if you came to hate EQ because of Sony/Verant. If your here because you played to much EQ and are now poor and unable to afford EQlive, you will NOT enjoy the emulator!
