Always re patches when I connect everquest.exe
Is this supposed to happen? When i try to connect through eqgame.exe it says please use Everquest.exe I did that and went through an hour long patch process. Now everytime I try to connect through Everquest.exe it always patches something for at least 4 mins. any feedback will be greatly appreciated.
Also I could not find Boot5zone.winx9 (sp?) So I skipped that part, can anyone tell me where to find this file?? |
Start reading.... There are many key concepts here that your missing at this time.
Read some of the how too's and stuff on this form then reformulate the question... Short of reposting the step by step that is written all over the place answering the question you asked would not help you any. |
What exactly are you trying to accomplish? Basically, you need to download EQW 2.21 from EQHackers.com and use that to connect to the EQEmu Servers. Reason being, if you use EverQuest.exe, it will repatch every single time and reupdate the files you have to change in order to connect to the EQEmu. Make sense?
Are you triyng to run your own servers by using Boot5Zones or what? Your post is confusing. Read the several readme's included and then repost. ;) Leggo |
Quote from the readme.. next time try READING IT..

btw, if you dont have a boot5zones.bat file you probably didnt download the win32 zipfile.
|
I've already downloaded that and I have win32.. I just don't know where the Boot5zones file is. I've read all the readme files also, I'm just stuck at the boot5zones file where I have to go in and edit it to reflect my IP address. . If I could find this file I can edit it =(! Please help!

boot5zones.bat and boot5zones.win9x.bat are both in the eqemu win32 download. You only need the correct one for your OS (NT or 9x respectivly) Recheck the directory you unziped the download to, and the zip file.
We all know this, that is why short of screaming it at you this is all we can do till you figure out what your doing on your end. The readme that is also in the download gives pretty good step by step directions for the different setups people might want to run. If you have trouble with a step, DON'T skip it it is needed. |
