Question Newb question regarding shield quest

Im sure this is on the forum but i cant find the information on completing the 3rd step on the shield quest. Thanks for your help.

Question Buffer Overrun detected

I get this Buffer Overrun detected which shuts down eq right when its about to load up the zone. Any ideas what can cause this? I run XP profesional and it just started this today.... THis happened...

Well i was home for Xmas and was copying eq to my bros comp and something happend. My folder or something just poofed and could get it back. Now im home and trying to reinstall eq but when i load...

When i try to choose a server it says " an unknown error has occured whent rying to join the server" any ideas what causes this? It does it when i try to join any of the servers.....any help would...
