do you have to use eqwindow for it? cause i keep hearing yes and no from my friends :?

just using the eqemu patcher and checking the run eq box works ok, but when i try to connect to any server...

I got everything rdy and setup to run eqemu, but when i open eqwindow and go to type in my info, my damn handle is 2 letters long! :x (i wasnt expecting that would be my handle...
