This sounds like a bug of the current 5.3-DR2 I am experiencing also. If you have backup of earlier version of EQ, try a 5.2 server. 5.2 doesnt have this bug. If you have already patched to EQlive...

So far 5.2 runs very smoothly and not many LD spotted. Most LD are caused by my testing of various things.
The old quest however is not working with 5.2, they will cause zone to crash upon bootup....
