Unhappy I have the right files, would any firewall...

I have the right files, would any firewall software or anything cause a 1017? I have this working on two other computers, it just won't work on this one. Any ideas?

Still getting the 1017 error, it makes no sense. I just copied the whole folder off my other computer and it works fine on that one.

1017 Error when trying to join a server

I've looked through most of the 1017 error threads and they mostly pretain to making your own server. I get a 1017 when I try to join any server, here's my eqhost maybe I'm doing something wrong.

DR4 and DR5 servers..

Alright, I can only connect to the DR4 servers...none of the DR5 ones, it tells me to rerun the patcher, whats the difference between them? :?:

I guess you could make yer own server and lock it, that'd be the closest you can get to single player on EQ. :lol:

I'm using XP, and the Mysql admin opens automatically when I reboot my comp, so thats always on. But I still have the same problem, mysql.exe us just opening, beeping then closing.

Ok, I tried to make a server a while back, got everything to work BUT couldn't get a DB on it for the life of me. Now, I came back to it after you updated the read me. Now mysql filein the BIN folder...
