found the login server in my source, so no need to get the solution.
Just a matter of the config to set it up itself as well as config for the server.

Missing -lz flag in zone makefile (trunk from 12/17/12)

basically the zone makefile is missing some flags for zlib de/compression.

was was comparing the world makefile to the zone makefile and came across that it was missing -lm -lz from the LINKOPTS line. here they are below:

world makefile
COPTS=$(WFLAGS) -g -O -pthread...
