What .txt are you changing, and what patch would you be getting.

If you changing the eqhost.txt, then you don't want to patch with Live. You can patch with the EQEmu...

2) If you play Live make a copy of your Everquest folder to something like EQEmu where you will play from
3) Patch to the latest Live version
4) Run the EQEmu patcher

Bugged you could say

Pets are hardcoded, and yes the mage pets are gimped beyond belief.

Mage epic pet stats are as follows:
HP: 3000
Min-Dmg: 1
Max-Dmg: 25

it should be more like:
HP: 4300
Min-Dmg: 60

Yup, you use minilogin and just connect to yourself. It gets boring really fast though, trust me. I thought it would be the coolest thing to play EQ by myself, its fun for all of 2 days.
