I installed 5.8 and checked searched under...

I installed 5.8 and checked searched under windows and subdirs. No dll there, but I still get the panic, any ideas?

I couldn't run the test you posted, and now I'm trying to reinstall ActivePerl as I fu*ked alot around with \lib to try to get scalar to work

Panic while starting Zone servers with Perl quests

I was trying to use perl quest as the 5.2 server crashes with .qst files, and i've installed ActivePERL and tried installing IO::Scalar, but still I get a panic while I try to start the Zone...

Hmm, I don't seem to be able to cast spells on NPCs or attack them, all that happens is that I get "I don't know that target type. 0xff". again and again.

And I can't change target without zoning...

Quests make my zone servers die, renaming the quests directory fixes it, but no quests :( any1 have a workaround?
