I found out the problem on the main page the

[LoginServer]
Host=eqemulator.net:5995

has spaces put this in your eqhost file and it should work

Im having the same problem. The client launches....

Im having the same problem. The client launches. i get to login screen type in info. pauses one second and crashes.
Any help much apreciated

Well keyman explained what was happening to me...

Well keyman explained what was happening to me (thanks) but i do have dx9 i havnt patched in about 2 month and i could log in before no black screen no 1017.

On the homepage it says not to patch to eq, i didnt, i try to log into 5.6 or 5.7 it doesnt work. do i need to patch to eq or is there something else i could do. If you could tell me flame whatever...

Allright i log into the game using eqwindows (eqw235a) go in made my account have everything up to date. type in name/password and it does what it normally does. then it just stops, the program...
