if i read your post correctly you are using "stat zone" as the zone name, and the server is looking for 'stat' only. I don't know if you can use spaces in the names.
make sure in Launcher table...

yea the queries are a little different, which is why exporting via navicat (to a csv format) and then importing with 2008 choosing a csv format should work.

i swapped all db info in the xml and everything...
i swapped all db info in the xml and everything loads ok as with the remote db (albeit faster) and no "crashes" or zone-rebooting.
just downloaded and build 445 so we'll see if that changed...

Just built Rev444, did a fresh install of db Rev438.
Only changes i've made were I moved my sql to a different server.
updated my xml with db changes.
World runs and loads fine
EQLaunch runs...

You might want to try selecting all the data in your database (via Navicat or something similar), copying and pasting into excel. Then save to a .CSV file.
That should import easier into SQL...

Try dropping your desktop resolution to 1024x768 - i had a similar problem when i was running 1900x1200, eqgame would crash. dropped to 10x7 and it worked without a problem.
