Since you probably do not have a compatible client of EQ to servers prior to 6.2, then yes. Servers running the 6.2 emu, will work with the latest EQ patch.

I am not sure which login server 6.0dr2 uses, however you need to have both fields the same. I am assuming...

Sometimes, other times no. For me it is a lot of trial and error. You can also use the packet collector to find some opcodes. I have found some using it while connected to my server.

The software downloaded is going to have the same results as what you would get if you purchased the CDs. AFAIK, 6.2 is still working with the latest Sony patch. Make sure you update your client.
