I was wondering if anyone knew of a game engine that could use the same type of character model files and zone files that EQ uses. I would like to test something out but am wondering if there is more...

Heh. Do yourself a favor, keep it fully legit. Semi-Legit and Non-Legit are crappy servers. They are extremely boring and usually die within weeks of opening. That's just my opinion anyway.
