I close my client, close internet connection and redail. After doing this no more:

Nice tip on not going LD when zoning

I notice that if you do absolutely nothing (including not moving your char around) for about 20 secconds plus after zoning you won't go LD.

As much as I can tell the problem was that some file was currupted in EQ and the patcher was NOT catching it

i don't know if EQ windows has been screwing me up , i tried...

humm i dont have any firewall programs set.
mcafee 7.0 but not its firewall options up

the dailup does not go though a router or anything

and it was working great before 312 with 311 dailup...

also i tried it with both my windows 98 HD and with the EQ on my win2k HD , both patched and unpatched EQs as well no dice...

1) patch EQ right 2)make sure eqhost.txt is correct which it is
ok then when you log character in on ANY server you get...

ok Hogie straightened me out
seccond IP address in boot5zone.bat have to be 127.0.01 ect. never did it that way before but seems to work now

UPDATE but still not working

ok I finally got back on DSL and world.exe seems to connect BUT ................... BOOT5.zone.exe is failing. there is not message windows 2k just closes them with a standard error this can not be...

Bah Boot5zones.bat is not working what is going , it flashes and the windows dissapear

using windows 2k pro.

my server was working fine before 3.12 came out , i put all the options back...

i copied my eq dir to the eq-emu dir and then unzipped the fix in there and it worked
