Thank you, I was able to reinstall and manually add the windowsmode=true to get the game working.

Altering your In eqclient.ini may have compounded your problem (since that wasn't the problem). for example;

MultiPassLighting=FALSE
UseLitBatches=TRUE
Is related to your video card capabilities - I've set options to TRUE or FALSE, with results like your posted picture , or even the character was gone.
You can also try switching from old models to new , run game - then switch back. This might fix it.
