Can you change these?
As the project gets nearer and nearer to it's "Final" stage (if that can ever occur, you EQEmu guys always seem to be adding cool new stuff ), I begin wondering if there will be (or already is?) a way to set it so that normal users, who just pop on to your server, can be set so they CAN'T summon items, making it more like a "real" EQ World.

Im not 100% sure but i don't think they have got that added in yet. But im sure it will be some day in the future They have added alot of features though. and there is an error in there some where that lets you fly. or atleast i think its an error. or is it just somthing they didnt mention ? oh well
the command that lets you fly only seems to work with sysopp or gm though its somthing like this

?? oh well its been a while since i have used the eqemu because my internet got canceled and im at my programing class right now :p

I think this should be in the variables database.

Then right before the code performs the summons, do a check..

Allow_player_item_summoning 0/1

That way its not an all or nothing deal. It will suck to put this option in to servers that dont have proper spawns/loot
