Long stream of 1 dmg hits..

On all severs that I've played on the last couple of days, I've seen an abnormal amount of hits for 1, at level 65 with skills maxed. There something wrong with my client or the server? Also, the range is a little off too...You know how on live, you can fight the dudes in BoT from a ways off..well, I have to get right on their feet on Emu..this fixable?

I've gotten stuff like this before. It almost always came up when I cast some detrimental spell on a mob, like one that lowers one of their stats or something. Not all spells did it, but certain spells did this all the time. I just cast them and every hit I did while it was in effect was for 1 dmg or a miss. So I jsut stopped casting those spells and it hasn't come up for me again.
