Default Error loading zones

I created a new halfling in the server that is supposed to work after you patch but it always says "zone is unavailable". What should I do to fix that?

Theres a few things that can cause it. First this message can come up if the server has no zone servers available to run that zone. That jsut means there are too many people in other zones to load it up. The server op can fix this by running more zones. The second reason this might come up is if it takes more than a few seconds for the server to respond EQ will display this message and stop trying to connect. Basically all you can do is try again later when more zones are available or your lag is smaller. Or you can ask the server op to run more zone servers if they run out frequently.

I'm having the same problem... I even tried humans and noticed that when it tries loading up the character it says something like "Entering Mines of Gloomingdeep", then it goes back to the character selection screen and says "That zone is unavailable." If I click on the character it says it was in the zone West Freeport but that zone isn't available either. Am I missing a zone file or something? What's the problem? Thanks.

THe problem is that the server op needs to run mroe zone servers. Many servers only run 5 zone servers and if people are in 5 different zones no one can get into any other zones until they leave and are in less than 5 zones. You need to ask the server op on their webpage forums to run more zones.
