Default Everquest becomes unresponsive when trying to two-box.

As the title says, every time I try to launch a second window of EQ, the original one completely locks up. It's seriously a huge, huge pain since I use multiple accounts on my server and its made it difficult to trade between them

I'm on Windows 7, 64 bit. AMD, 6 core, 32GB of ram.

It used to work completely fine, and suddenly stopped. Any advice?

You are playing on a server that you run, or someone else's server? If it isn't your own server, then you might want to make sure there isn't an IP limit set on the server you are playing on, though I don't think that would cause EQ to hang, you should just get an error on the second attempt.

I am guessing you are running the Titanium client, because it does not play well with modern PCs. You can check the FAQ in my sig to see if there are any multi-core cpu issues you can try to work around. You might also try something like wineq or eqplaynice or whatever. I haven't ever really had a problem with it with newer clients, but on Titanium, I think I have to set my core affinity or I get hang issues like that.

I am indeed on my own server and using the Titanium client. No idea what core affinity means, but I'll try to do some more research and check out the FAQ. Thanks a bunch!
